The Sunday Farmer's Market at Samadi is one of my favorite weekly happenings in/around Canggu. Even if you don't cook here in Bali, it's definitely worth stopping by because there are tons of stalls that sell everything from fresh produce and fish to homemade kombucha, organic spices, the BEST baked goods I've eaten in Bali, and even clothes and jewelry. As cliche as it sounds, there's really something for everybody at Samadi's weekly market.

When it comes to driving a scooter around Bali’s tourist areas, it’s really a matter of WHEN – not IF – you get pulled over by the police. And chances are you won’t be singled out; More often than not, you’ll be one of about a dozen other cyclists (all or most of them uncannily Western-looking) who get stopped by a large group of police hanging out on the side of the road.
If you’re driving in/around Canggu, especially if you’re not getting on the main road (jalan raya canggu) you technically don’t HAVE to drive with a helmet on if you don’t want to (which just means you won’t get pulled over, not that it’s safe).
