This is a running list of all my favorite LOCAL warungs and street carts in/around Canggu. I’m keeping this list SUPER simple (only including the name of the restaurant/cart, its location and pics of what it looks like/what kind of food to expect) just to make it quicky and easy to come here, find a place to eat based on your location and go check it our for yourself.
This list is going to be continuously updated as I discover new places, so keep checking back to find more great local food options in one of the most popular, touristy areas on the island!
*Click the name of the restaurant/street cart for a link to the Google maps location (for those that aren’t listed on Google, I use a nearby shop for an approximate location!)
WARUNGS
Canggu
- Warung Babi Guling Men Lari
If you go at night, you won’t see ANY other tourists at this popular Babi Guling restaurant. Meal picutred below cost 40k IDR = $2.85.
Berawa
- Warung Ambara
This buffet-style warung is more local (and also cheaper) than warung Heboh. Plus, this warung also has a small menu, so you can get freshly made food if you prefer. Expect to pay 20-30k IDR = $1.50-$2.25 USD for a plate of food
*closed sunday

- Rumah Makan Campur Campur
This buffet-style warung is my favorite in Berawa. It serves a ton of VEGGIE options (and the least amount of fried food). Meal pictured below cost 18k IDR = $1.30 USD
*closed sunday
- Warung Heboh
This buffet-style warung is popular with locals AND tourists, but the prices are definitely local. Meals from 25-45k IDR = $1.50-3.50 USD (depending on how much/what you get)
Pererenan
- Warung MJ
This TINY warung has an equally tine menu, but the food is delicious and freshly made food. *local tip: Order Tipat Cantok (literally the same as gado gado); it’s the best gado gado in Canggu and its only 10k (80 cents USD)
STREET CARTS *only open at night
